I’ve been a History teacher for 28 years, teaching 11-18 year olds from KS3 through to A Level and Oxbridge.  My current school, Bristol Grammar School, is an independent co-educational day school in the heart of the city. For the past 7 years I have been Director of Scholars, which means I have responsibility for stretch and challenge provision for our high-attaining pupils.  I love getting into lessons and seeing what colleagues do to ask big questions, make links between topics and subjects and challenge students to achieve excellence.  Part of my job is then to share those winning strategies with other departments.
